UX Observations: Social Profiles

Having worked for a social media agency for 3 years now, I find it particularly irritating when companies don’t have their social profiles front and center. It’s such a great way to connect with consumers, why would you bury it on your “About Us” page, and then make people click off to Facebook, and away from your site’s content?

That’s why I like this little ditty, which you can find on Jezebel. It also keeps these bits from winding up in the sidebar or someplace that starts to look cluttered rather quickly. Here it is in its 3 states:

The best part about this is you can connect without ever leaving their content behind, so you’re more likely to stay engaged with whatever bit of snarky feministing you are currently enjoying. Easy breezy.
